Woodrow is located on the South Shore of Staten Island. Many people consider Woodrow part of Huguenot because of its proximity to the Huguenot train station. The main thoroughfare of Woodrow is Woodrow Road. Most Woodrow homes were built in the last 30 years, making it a thoroughly modern community.

 

Some of the more recently constructed homes and communities are townhouse and semi-attached homes with private streets. Several developments have various maintenance features built into the community, like landscaping of common areas, pools, and snow removal. Those looking to invest in luxury real estate are wise to consider Woodrow. Many Woodrow homes are expansive in both architecture and land. Most of the luxury home market here was constructed in the 1980's, although there is some new construction in the area.

The closest Branch of The New York Public Library is located at Huguenot Avenue and Drumgoole Rd West. Located along Woodrow Road, The Woodrow United Methodist Church, opened in 1771, was the first Methodist church in the New York City Area.
