Welcome to Ward Hill
On Staten Island's northern shore is Ward Hill. Steep winding streets lead the way to real estate full of character including houses built in the '30s and '40s as well as Victorian and Tudor homes. Ward Hill was named after Caleb T. Ward who owned the property on top of the hill and built a gorgeous Greek Revival-style home there around 1835. His mansion is named after him and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Most Ward Hill homes offer breathtaking panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline and New York Harbor. The proximity of the neighbourhood to the ferry makes it easy for professionals to commute to the city. Public Schools include PS 14, PS 16, IS 49 and Curtis High School. There are several private schools serving the area: Our Lady of Good Council, Trinity Lutheran and Notre Dame Academy are a few.
